Parking in Mantua
The car park is located in via Scarsellini, in the center of Mantua. Located in the heart of the city, within the university complex, it is close to the main historical monuments, public offices and all the main attractions such as: shops, restaurants, hotels, bookshops and cinemas. Parking is easy to reach, regardless of the area of origin. The spaces for cars are very comfortable and the management of the entrance and exit are completely automated and with remote assistance available at all times.
Mantua is a city of art, included in the Unesco Heritage. Renaissance jewel, ruled for centuries by the Gonzaga family, was elected Capital of Culture in 2016.
Adjacent to the parking lot in via Scarsellini you will find the Church of S. Francesco d'Assisi, the Palazzo d'Arco and, just a 3-minute walk away, the former Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria;
Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo Vescovile, Palazzo del Capitano and Palazzo Castiglioni, all located in the central Piazza Sordello, are 12 minutes away from the car park on foot; from here you can also visit the Cathedral of Mantua and the Castle of San Giorgio with the famous Camera degli Sposi painted by Andrea Mantegna;
The Basilica of Sant'Andrea, with its splendid dome, can be reached in 7 minutes on foot, and from there you can also admire the Casa del Mercante and the nearby Piazza delle Erbe with Palazzo della Ragione, the Astronomical Clock and the Rotonda di San Lorenzo;
The Bibiena Theater which hosted, in 1770, a piano concert by the young Mozart, a theater defined by the father of the musician as the most beautiful ever seen of this type, is a 13-minute walk from the parking lot;
Diocesan Museum and Piazza Virgiliana, with the statue dedicated to the poet of Mantuan origins, are only 7 minutes walk from the parking lot;
Since 1997 the city of Mantua has hosted the Festivaletteratura festivaletteratura.it, a five-day review with authors, readings, guided tours, shows, concerts. At the link you can find restaurants, hotels, shops, bookstores and any other kind of useful services for staying in the city center.
The Festival ticket office is located in via Baldassarre Castiglioni, 4, 9 minutes from the parking lot.
