The Lingotto Parking garage is located in the building that was the premises of the most famous automobile factory in Europe: FIAT which was founded in the eighteen hundreds and had an important role in the development of Italian industry.

In recent years the structure, designed by Renzo Piano, has become a modern multi-functional centre, making it an important business and exchange centre in the widest fields of industrial and financial economics and not only, it is also an extremely well-equipped exhibition centre and a modern auditorium, making Lingotto an important centre for cultural events, the symbol of the new Turin, technologically avant-garde facilities for international exchanges.  Lingotto was also the Media Center for the 2006 Winter Olympics and the surrounding areas held the Oval (a multi-functional structure used for speed skating ring races) and the Olympic runway. 

Near the parking garage there are two 5-star Hotels (Le Meridien and Art+Tech Le Meridien) and the 8Gallery commercial gallery.
