In the centre of the piazza there is the Triumphal Arch built during the fascist era to commemorate the war dead in World War I.
On the south side of the Piazza there is a large staircase with floral representations of Christopher Columbus’ three ships.
Two hundred metres away there are the International Genova Fairgrounds where Euroflora, the Nautical Exhibition and various concerts are held during the year.
A short distance from Piazza della Vittoria, along Via XX Settembre takes one to piazza De Ferrari where one can visit the Ducal Palace, Teatro Carlo Felice and the historical centre.
